The Prattville Police Department continues to investigate a shooting that damaged property and endangered others. Investigators are seeking the public’s help with obtaining information.
Investigators say that on August 4, 2024, at about 11:00 pm, the Prattville Police Department responded to Cosby Court, in Prattville, Alabama, in reference to multiple shots fired into occupied residences. Upon arrival, police located approximately 56 rounds including 223 caliber and 7.62 caliber casings in the roadway. Officers obtained information that three occupied residences had rounds discharged into them including an unoccupied dwelling, as well as an unoccupied vehicle.
Investigators say it appears that the suspect vehicle drove down the street and the occupants of the car exited the vehicle and began to fire down the street striking multiple residences. No one was injured during the shooting.
Investigators say witnesses on the scene stated two to four males, identified as black males, possibly juveniles who are believed to be teenaged, wearing ski masks were observed leaving the scene in a white passenger car with no tag. Investigators believe this was not just a random violent act, however, the motive is unknown at this time. There are no other details available for release.

On September 17, 2024, the Opelika Police Department began investigating a report of Theft of Property, Third Degree, which occurred at Ulta, located at 2690 Enterprise Drive. At approximately 1:30 p.m., the suspect entered the store and began to conceal various fragrances before leaving in an unknown vehicle. The male suspect can be seen on surveillance video wearing a black North Face hat, blue shirt, gray jogger pants, and black sneakers. There are no other details available for release at this time.

Millbrook Police Investigators released a photo of three suspects wanted for a felony theft that occurred on September 21, 2024, at Walmart located at 145 Kelley Boulevard, Millbrook AL.
Investigators say the pictured suspects identified as two black males and a black female, picked up a black backpack that was lying in a seat in the automotive department. The suspects exited through the side door of the automotive department.
Investigators say the suspects stole the backpack while the victim got up to look at tires, while the suspects observed the backpack remaining in the victim’s seat, the suspects seized the opportunity and stole it. Investigators say the bag contained a handgun.

Upon leaving the business, the suspect entered the passenger side of a black SUV (possibly a Nissan Rogue with an unknown tag) and proceeded to travel South on Memorial Drive in Prattville, AL.

The Gadsden Police Department is investigating a robbery and seeking the public’s help to identify the suspects.
On Thursday, August 29, 2024, police responded to Gadsden Mall located at 1001 Rainbow Drive, Gadsden, Alabama, in reference to a robbery of a person. Upon arrival, police located the victim who advised a 2015 Nissan Altima, maroon-in-color, occupied by two suspects, parked by the victim’s vehicle in the mall parking lot, later approached the victim, produced an unknown type of firearm, and demanded the victim’s vehicle keys, and personal property. The suspect left in the victim’s vehicle, a 2018 Jeep Cherokee, black-in-color, in an unknown direction of travel.
Investigators say details regarding the investigation are limited and the only known information regarding the suspects is that they were light-skinned males. The suspect’s vehicle, the 2015 Nissan Altima, was confirmed to be stolen from Talladega and displayed an Alabama Tag of 1A041PW at the time of the offense.
Investigators have released photos of the suspect vehicle and say the Altima is still at large, and anyone with information regarding this vehicle is asked to call law enforcement or CrimeStoppers. The victim's vehicle has since been recovered and a person of interest was taken into custody. However, investigators are still seeking any information in this investigation.
