On Friday, January 5, 2024, police responded to the 1000 block of West South Boulevard in reference to a traffic collision involving a pedestrian. There, officers discovered an adult male pedestrian, Keith Randle, 46, who sustained fatal injuries as a result of the collision.
Investigators say the type of vehicle and driver involved in the hit-and-run is unknown at this time. The unknown vehicle fled the scene before officers responded to the scene. There are no other details available for release at this time.

The Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a business robbery and seeks the public’s help with identifying the suspect.
Lowndes County Investigators released a video of two unknown subjects wanted for a business robbery. The offense occurred, on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at approximately 3:00 at the Pilot–Flying J, located at 900 Tyson Road, Hope Hull, Alabama. The suspect entered the business, went behind the counter, and began stilling merchandise and placing it into a gray trash can. While committing the theft, the suspect was approached by a store employee. It was at this time the suspect struck the employee with a chrome-colored pistol and forced the employee to the ground. The suspect left the scene in an unknown direction of travel. There are no other details regarding this offense at this time.
Investigators say the suspect, identified as a black male was seen on video surveillance wearing a black beanie, black hooded sweatshirt, dark-colored pants, and gray in-color shoes. On Monday, November 13, 2023, at about 4:37 p.m., police responded to the 2300 block of 2300 block of 20th Avenue Southwest, Lanett, Alabama, regarding an unresponsive male lying on the ground. Upon arrival, units located an adult male who sustained a life-threatening gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced deceased by medics on the scene. The victim was identified as Delarick St. George, 36, of Lanett.
The shooting remains under investigation and no other details are available for release at this time.

The Montgomery Police Department and the United States Marshals Service Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force was searching for the location of Bryant Lamar Harris for Discharging a Firearm into an Occupied Building (13A-011-061) that took place on November 10, 2023. The offense occurred at a fast-food restaurant located in the 2800 block of East South Boulevard in Montgomery. After the shooting, Harris fled the restaurant parking lot in a brown colored Honda accord.
On Friday, December 8, 2023, at approximately 11:30 am, members of the United States Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force took Harris into custody at a residence located in the 500 block of Oak Street in Montgomery, Alabama. Investigators were acting swiftly to locate Harris and credit an anonymous tip provided by CrimeStoppers with information that was instrumental in locating Bryant Lamar Harris.

The Prattville Police Department is seeking information regarding a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle.
On 12-08-23 around 1:00am, Prattville Police was dispatched to the 1600 block of East Main Street in reference to a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle. Victim was crossing East Main Street, in the crosswalk, when he was struck by a vehicle. The vehicle fled the scene and the last known direction of travel was west bound on Main Street. The victim suffered non life threatening injuries and was transported from the scene by Prattville Paramedics to a local area hospital.
Investigators released photos of the actual suspect vehicle in the hopes that someone will be able to identify the owner, driver, and/or location of the vehicle.

The Prattville Police Department continues to seek answers in an ongoing homicide investigation of a 16-year-old.
On August 6, 2023, at about 2:00 pm, the Prattville Police Department responded to the 600 block of Covered Bridge Parkway in reference to a subject shot. Upon arrival, police and medics located a male subject lying in the roadway who sustained a gunshot wound. First responders immediately began rendering aid to the victim, unfortunately the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased on the scene. The victim was identified as Kylen Smith, 16.
Investigators say a witness on scene stated a male was observed leaving the scene in all black, wearing a black hoodie. Evidence collected has led Investigators to believe that the suspect was on foot at the time shooting and not in a vehicle. Investigators believe this was not just a random violent act and it is believed the victim may have known or associated with the shooter prior to the homicide.
The victim’s family is heartbroken as they approach the first holiday season without their loved one. They are seeking answers and ask for anyone with information to please come forward.

The Opelika Police Department requested public assistance on October 17, 2023, as they searched for missing person, Ricky Montel Johnson of Opelika.
Investigators say Johnson was last seen leaving his residence on October 12, 2023, in Opelika, Alabama. Johnson left driving a 2010, Nissan Altima, gray in color.
Investigators say Johnson is described as a black male who stands around 5’9” and weighs approximately 175 lbs. Johnson was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, and khaki shorts, and his hair was styled in short twists. He also has a tattoo with “1978” on his wrist.
Investigators provided an update to CrimeStoppers on October 18, 2023, and advised they were contacted by the Alexander City Police Department regarding human remains that were located within their jurisdiction on October 15, 2023, that they believe to be a missing Opelika man, 45-year-old Ricky Montel Johnson. Opelika Police Detectives are currently assisting the Alexander City Police Department with their investigation.

Montgomery Public School Security and Safety Department Chief Curtis Forte reports that on Saturday, 10/07/2023, at 07:00 am, an unknown male entered a secured building located in the 100 block of Marshall Street. Director Forte advised that on Sunday, 10/08/23, at 01:30 am the same subject returned and stole copper wiring, assorted tools, and pressure washers.
According to Chief Forte, this person is a suspect in numerous other MPS burglaries that occurred at Lanier High School, Carver Elementary, and the MPS Maintenance Shop.

The Tallassee Police Department contacted Central Alabama CrimeStoppers and requested public assistance in locating fugitive, Robdarius Ronkevious Smith, 31, of Tuskegee.
Smith is described as a black male, 6’2” ft. in height, weighing approximately 150 lbs. Smith goes by the nickname of “Rah Rah”.
Smith is wanted for the September 20, 2023, fatal shooting that occurred in the 100 block of Washington Street in Tallassee, AL. Investigators have not released information regarding the victim at this time.
Investigators say Smith was armed with an AR-15-style firearm that was originally used in the fatal shooting. Smith may be armed and is possibly using illegal narcotics. Smith has previously resided in and frequented the area of Auburn Street in Tuskegee, AL.
If Smith is seen, use extreme caution, do not approach, and immediately notify law enforcement.
