Investigators say on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at about 11:02 p.m., MPD and Fire Medics responded to the 2900 block of Birmingham Highway in reference to a subject shot. Upon arrival, an adult male who sustained a life-threatening gunshot wound was located and transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Investigators say the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital. The victim was identified as Lee Brown, 28, of Montgomery, Alabama.
The circumstances surrounding this violent fatal shooting remain under investigation and no other details are available for release at this time. Investigators and family ask anyone who may have seen or know something to come forward.

The Montgomery Police Department is seeking information regarding a Murder.
The Montgomery Police Department is conducting a homicide investigation following the shooting death of Eldren Wright, 22, of Montgomery. On Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at about 6:15 p.m., Montgomery Police responded to a local hospital in reference to several individuals being shot. Contact was made with Eldren Wright, 22, of Montgomery, who sustained a life-threatening gunshot wound. He was subsequently pronounced deceased on October 29, 2024. According to the Montgomery Police Department’s initial release, it was determined that the incident occurred in the 1000 block of Liberty Square Drive. There are no additional updates on the additional victims.

Investigators say on Friday, October 25, 2024, at about 1:57 a.m., MPD and Fire Medics responded to the 500 block of Northeastern Boulevard in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, two adult male victims were located, both who sustained life-threatening gunshot wounds. The victims were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Investigators say the victims succumbed to their injuries and were pronounced deceased at the hospital. The victims were identified as Jeroderick Bell, 29, and Devin Ligon, 30, both of Montgomery, Alabama.
Investigators say the shooting appears to be an isolated incident and they believe the offenders were known to one another.

While in the area, police located a male victim in the area of Water Avenue and Broad Street, Selma, Alabama, who sustained a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced deceased on the scene. The victim was identified as Devante Tashon Hall, 32, of Birmingham, AL.
Investigators say the initial shooting occurred in the parking lot of Southside High School.

Investigators say the victim is currently in ICU and is receiving treatment for serious injuries. No other details regarding the victim or condition are available for release at this time.

Three victims were transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment. The fourth victim sustained a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced deceased on the scene.

The Montgomery Police Department continues to investigate a June 4, 2024, shooting that left three victims dead. Police are requesting the public’s help and are asking anyone with details or information to please come forward.
Investigators say on Tuesday evening, June 4, 2024, just before 9:00 p.m., police and medics responded to the 4100 block of Troy Highway, Montgomery, AL, in reference to a shooting. Police located three victims at a local business which has been identified by local media as Tienda Los Hermanos, a local grocery store. Three victims were located on the scene and sustained life-threatening gunshot wounds. Two victims were pronounced deceased on the scene and one other was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was later pronounced deceased.
The victims were identified by investigators as George Elijah Jr., 50, and Daniel Lopez, 20, who died at the scene. Romero Lopez, 43, succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital.
The circumstances surrounding this violent fatal triple shooting remain under investigation and no other details are available for release at this time. Investigators and family ask anyone who may have seen something or know something to please come forward.
Montgomery City Council members, Oronde Mitchell, Charles Jinright, Glenn Pruitt, Andrew J. The Montgomery Police Department is conducting a homicide investigation following the shooting death of Trevoncia Simmons, 26, of Montgomery. On Sunday, March 31, 2024, at about 12:40 a.m., Montgomery Police and Fire Medics responded to the 3400 block of McGehee Road in reference to a subject shot. Simmons sustained life-threatening injuries from a gunshot wound and was pronounced deceased at a local hospital.
Contact was also made with an adult male victim who sustained non-life-threatening injuries from a gunshot wound and was transported to the local hospital for treatment.

The United States Postal Inspectors Service is investigating Mail Theft and is requesting public assistance in identifying the pictured subject wanted for his involvement in the investigation.
Investigators released photos of an unknown subject believed to be adult-aged and are seeking the identity of the pictured male.
On December 12, 2023, while delivering mail at Midtown Apartment Complex, 101 Center Street, Troy, Alabama, 36081, USPS Carrier noticed an unknown individual remove a tray of mail from a postal LLV Mail Truck.
USPIS and Troy Police Department Investigators are jointly investigating the case. As a result of the investigation, Law Enforcement obtained surveillance video of the crime. In the video, an unknown subject is seen removing a tray of mail from postal LLV and fleeing the area on foot. The individual in question is wearing all black and a white backpack.

The Sylacauga Police Department is requesting public assistance with obtaining information in an ongoing homicide investigation.
The City of Sylacauga has recorded its first homicide of 2024. At about 4:00 p.m. on February 26, 2024, Sylacauga Police Department responded to 306 S. Main Avenue, Sylacauga, Alabama, in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located an adult female who sustained a life-threatening gunshot wound. The victim was identified as Tamekia Tana Fluker, 40, of Sylacauga. Ms. Fluker was pronounced deceased on the scene.
Investigators say upon further investigation they determined several rounds were shot from the street, in front of 306 S. Main Avenue, and the victim was struck inside the home.
Investigators say this is the second murder that has occurred at or near this residence involving a member of the Fluker family. On July 1, 2022, Nartavius Cortez Fluker-Smith, 22, was fatally shot while sitting in his vehicle in front of this residence. Fluker-Smith was the brother of Ms. Fluker. In the previous case, Sheridan Rashon Clark, 19, was charged in this case and arrested for Capital Murder and is currently in Talladega County Jail, with no bond, awaiting trial.
Investigators, family members and friends of the victim are seeking answers in this tragic fatal shooting. If anyone has information, they are encouraged to immediately call law enforcement or CrimeStoppers.

The Montgomery Police Department continues to investigate a January 3, 2023, murder and is requesting the public’s help in identifying the suspect.
Investigators say on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at about 11:45 p.m., MPD and Fire Medics responded to a local hospital in reference to subjects shot. Willie Grant, 18, was located, Grant sustained a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced deceased at the hospital. Two juvenile victims were also located, who both sustained non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. It was determined that the offense occurred in the 3800 block of Chatwood Street.
The investigation has been ongoing for over a year and investigators ask anyone who may have seen something or know something to please come forward. When you contact CrimeStoppers, you always remain anonymous.

The Prattville Police Department is investigating a Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 1st Degree and seeks the public’s help in identifying the suspects.
Prattville Police Investigators released a photo of three unknown suspects wanted in this ongoing investigation. Investigators say on January 31, 2024, the pictured suspects attempted to pass multiple counterfeit bills as U.S. currency at Publix, located at 2451 Cobbs Ford Road, Prattville, Alabama.
The suspects were identified by investigators as two black males and one black female. The suspects were seen leaving the business in a silver SUV. There are no other details available for release at this time.

The Montgomery Police Department is searching for Missing Juvenile, Michael Cole Jr., 16.
The Montgomery Police Department is requesting the community’s assistance with providing information pertaining to 16-year-old B/M/J Michael Anthony Cole, Jr’s whereabouts.
Michael was last seen on Thursday, January 25, 2024 around 8:00 p.m. in the 3300 Block of Southmont Drive. Michael has not been seen or heard from since, and he is believed to be in danger. Michael was last seen wearing a black Tulones sweater with the word Tulones written in white, black skinny jeans (unknown brand), black and white Jordan 11s, and wearing either gold nugget or diamond earrings in both ears. He has tattoos on both arms.
Council Members, Marche Johnson (District 3), Franetta Delayne Riley (District 4), and Oronde Mitchell (District 6) are offering a joint $5,000 reward for any information that leads to the return of 16-year-old Sidney Lanier High School student Michael Cole Jr., to be paid through CrimeStoppers. “The city council has been an active partner with Central Alabama Crimestoppers. Anytime that a possible crime involves a child/teenager, we want to do everything possible to return them home safely. We felt this missing person needed more attention and more people talking. We are hoping that the $5000 reward that is being offered will help bring this young man home,” stated Councilman Oronde Mitchell.
